You do not need a horse of your own to join this club. The Mary I Equestrian Club caters for riders of all levels and has a strong ethos of enjoyment and participation. Throughout the college year there are club nights out organized such as table quizzes, race meets etc. These nights out are great for new members of the club to get to know each other and there’s always a bit of craic. This will be the Equestrian clubs fourth year in existence and each year they are getting stronger. They attend horse-riding lessons on a weekly basis in Clonshire Equestrian Centre. For the past two years they have attended the Intervarsities where they competed in show-jumping and dressage competitions. Last year they received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Student’s Union for the work they have done.
