Mary I Students’ Union (MISU) provides support, representation and services to its members who are the students of MIC. MISU represents the student body in negotiations with college staff and management and with other organisations on a local, national and international level. Students are represented by the elected Mary I Students’ Union executive committee officers. The union is administered by the General Manager, Receptionist and Accounts Technician.

Structure Union Council is the representative body of the Union, which determines the policy of the Union and mandates the Executive Committee subject to the decisions of Union General Meetings and referenda. Union Council meets every two weeks and is comprised of elected class representatives (class reps), the two sabbatical officers as well as two other officers of the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is responsible for the initiation of policy of the Union subject to Union Council, General Meetings and Referenda. The Exec consists of elected members, whose responsibilities cover the whole spectrum of student concerns from educational issues to accommodation to discrimination and much more. |
