Minister Ruairi Quinn will be attending the Presidents Inauguration tomorrow. His visit was discussed at an Emergency Union Council as to how MISU should respond to his visit. It was decided by a majority that no protest would ensue as this day was about the President and the institution. However, it was agreed that the MISU Sabbatical Officers would arrange a time to speak with the Minister. MISU President Mairéad Collins will be speaking with him with the ULSU President and the President of UL PSU. Their time is limited but she intends to discuss the student contribution, postgraduate grants, the library, the cuts to teacher’s degree allowance and the new four year BEd Programme.
