I Grades

An ‘I Grade’ is given to a student if they are sick or unwell whether it’s medically, physically or mentally or in the instance of a family bereavement. An ‘I Grade’ can be given by the nurse, doctor, counsellor or chaplaincy.

If you get an ‘I Grade’ you’ll have to repeat it during the repeats held the last week of August/first week of September. You are graded as normal and you don’t have to pay to sit the exam.

There is more info on I Grades in the Student Handbook on page 10.
