If you feel like you want to appeal your grade, you must complete the Grade Recheck form which can be found online or from the Student Services office (first floor of old building). This has to be back to Student Services within two weeks of the official release of exam results. It costs €25 (€50 for teaching practice) but you get this back if you’re grade goes up.
Something that a lot of students forget is that your grade could technically go down as well as up.
Your module lecturer will then recheck the grade and then return the form to Student Services who will let you know the result.
If you’re still not happy you can appeal the recheck. This involves another form and handing over a bit more dosh. This time, the Head of Department will carry out the appeal. They will then let Student Services know who will tell you the outcome.
The Grade Recheck rules and regulations are laid out in the Student Handbook on page 22.
If appealing a grade you got for Teaching Practice there is a different process in place, which is detailed here.
